I love the 2 piece pupusa con zucchini plates. Sometimes I order the platanos con crema y frijoles. My daughter likes to join me here. But when I dine with my friend, he only has eyes for the chile relleno de queso dinner platter. The variety of aqua fresca is always pleasing as well. I'm always hungry here.
My beef milanesa $14 (thin cut, breaded and pan fried) was delicious. If you dine-in, it comes with free chips and salsa and two pupusas. That was a lot of food because the plate already comes with beans, fried potatoes, rice and a salad. My favorite part is dipping the pupusas into the beans and rice, then taking a bite of the beef. This was a good lunch.
Went back here a couple times recently when I found myself out in the area. Used to go here back in the 90s when I lived a couple blocks away. Huge portions and great prices. Nice to see a neighborhood jewel still thriving.
The pupusas here are great! I’ve only ever ordered take out but every time I go it’s so lively.
Hidden spot in SF for local Salvadoran taste and atmosphere. Pupusas are all great and soup are delicious. The place is busy with a lot of takeout orders so service tends to be slow. But people are all nice.
The food used to be excellent. I had sopa de pata, yucca con chicharon and pupusas. None of them are good like they used to be. I drove 2.5 hours to have good Salvadoran food and it's not like it used to be. Very disappointed.
Great place to eat, great staff, great location, good prices. I can eat here all the time. Music and friends. It's perfect. Only down side parking is hard to find. A cross from McDonald's on mission street
Good service, large portions. Restaurant could be cleaner. The food is authentic but sadly it tasted like it was made with lard and it was bland. Pupusas are not cooked through. Expensive too.
